The light is not only a kind of traditional energy, but also a kind of important information source, in mankind history,utilize optical information for long time, but it develop at full speed is in recent 30 or 40 years. The rapid development of information optics has promoted the rapid development of the optics information processing technology of image media. The most basic kind of mathematical operation is that fourier transform in the information processing of optics, it is often finished by the computer, because the information capacity in the picture is great, need to spend very long time. The optics lens can both and transmit information , in addition,can be regarded as calculated component of the formation of image and, it has ability that fourier transform, the lens designed for this purpose are named furier transform lens, because it of simple structure, large information capacity and concurrent operation and process information characteristic , furthermore ,its operation is extremely quick in speed, its theory speed of theory is the velocity of light , so its use becoming more extensive. Fourier transform lens is the most basic and pivotal part of the optical information process system. Fourier transform lens is a complicated lens group, with which, we can realize optics signal's Fourier transform, obtain the frequency spectrum of the signal on the frequency spectrum plane of the system( Fourier varies the plane). People carry on signal's frequency spectrum's analyse, spatial filtering ,information processing. Whether its performance is good or bad will directly influence the result of optical information processing. So every optical information processing worker extremely pays attention to his own Fourier transform lens'performance. This is the basic reason why we devoted ourselves to developing high-performance Fourier transform lens. This thesis discusstion these contents, optics of lens characteristic, Fourier transform lens's performance index,design characteristic, structure type, etc. especially, do a lot work in quadruplet full symmetrical double far distance fourer transform lens aspect. adopt P, W method, solve out initial structure of lens, using OSLO optics design software of U.S.A, do ray tracking, image quality analyses, aberration balance. Finally, design and manufacture a kind of simple structure, fine image quality big aperture monochromatic fourier lens. The designed lens has been produced and applyed in scientific research and national defence industry.People pay it highly appraise, with further realize and study on it.It will have even more wider market and scientific research meaning.
