Vehicle headlight affects not only automobile's appearance, but also driving safety. In general, man pays attention mainly to the materials, structure , optics etc. of vehicle headlight. While the problems relative to calorific such as the thermal stress and fogging etc. of vehicle headlight can't cause much attention. In the light of this, the thermal analysis of vehicle headlight is very necessary and significant.The characteristic of vehicle headlight's thermal conduction and the principle of its fogging problem are analyzed in this paper. The entity model of vehicle headlight and the air in it which established by three-dimension CAD software CATIA are imported into correlative software, the temperature field and the flow field of vehicle headlight are calculated and analyzed. Experiments are done on the fogging problem and the temperature field distribution of lamp cover. The comparison between calculated results and experiment ones valid the correctness of the flow field and the temperature field model. On the basis of this, some methods are put forward to improve the design of the structure , technological properties of vehicle headlight.The research results find application in reducing the thermal stress of light body and reducing the fogging phenomenon. Which is helpful to optimize the thermal design of vehicle light later.
