Abstract/Summary:
Auto harness is an important accessory on automobile, which is called auto-nerve. It' s electricity signal control carrier. It can transfer electric signal reliably.This article guides design improving according to developing trend based on routine designing technology and quality control for harness and connector. According to harness and connector performance requirements, we can analysis potential failure mode & effects to guide quality control and improvement for harness and connector during batch producing process.Auto harnesses spread all over the automobile. Electric signal through general power is controlled by each switch and transferred to electricalequipments.Auto harness is formed by many materials and parts . When we design auto harness, material selected should not only conform to auto performance requirements, but also that of harness (e. g. reliable transfer electric signal).During assembling and using for auto connectors, terms and housings elasticity become deformed. So we design connectors not only meeting toelectric and environmental performance, but also that of mechanical. Owing to many kinds of auto harness materials and parts &working process, key point of quality control is to control the producing process per potential failure mode and effects analysis.Following is the main research fruits for this thesis:1. Select wire type , cross-section , connectors and terms , design harnesses according to auto circuits drawing, electric equipments parameter and environmental performance requirements. Determine harness branches per assembly position.2. Select auto harness terms type and material & design terms key parameter (e. g. insertion and withdrawl force , positive force , max stress and contact resistance )according to electric contact theory.3. Design housings construction, select materials , assembly accessories , calculate strength on contact point & mating interval between conn, and conn. & conn, and terms and dimension tolerance according to auto harness using and environmental requirements.4. Advanced product quality planning & potential failure mode and effects analysis to auto harness lot producing. Quality control planning for lot producing period to reduce defect , avoid failure and improve harness & connector quality.
