There are three accumulated slopes include B1,B2 and B20, in the left bank of the JinAnqiao hydropower station. For complex geologic setting, hight slope of an excavation, expansive area to cure(2km along river, 300m for height), lower indicator of physical mechanics, function of 9 degree earthquake after engineering buildingup, the stability and the reinforcement measures of the slope are the key problem to build and run with security. In accordance with the topographic and geologic feature of the B1,B2,B20 accumulated slopes and left abutment rock slope, the statics and dynamics finite element method, and rigid body limit equilibrium method are uesed to study the stability in different conditions, synthetically evaluate the stability of the slopes and the effect of the reinforcement measures. At the same time, the development of "FemCAD"FEM software is convenient to establish the integral calculation model of slopes. This paper bears such features hereinafter: 1. Based on the topographic and geologic feature of the slopes, the integral calculation model is established, unfavorable geologic structures such as the faults, joint fissures and cracks are fully considered. 2. The Bishop, Janbu, Morgenstern-Pricerigid and Pajiazhen among body limit equilibrium method, and the statics finite element method are uesed to calculate the stability safety factor of slopes in the conditions of nature, water storage, water level sudden drawdown, construction, earthquake and rainfall, moreover take into account different slipping modes, synthetically analyse the stability of the slopes. 3. Excavating steps of the slopes are simulated. Finite element method is applied to study unloading feature of the natural slope and excavating one. And the failure parts, which are the foundation of the reinforcement measure, are opened out. 4. The slope dynamic feature in function of earthquake is studied, and the deformation, velocity, acceleration and stress features of the slope are revealed. At the same time, the change of the safety factor with the ground motion time history is used to evaluate the stability of the slopes. 5. Langusges of Fortran,Visual Basic and Visual Lisp are used to develop the 'FemCAD'FEM software. It includes the full process of FEM solve(includes three steps of pretreatment, calculation and aftertreatment). It lays enphasis on such functions as pretreatment, aftertreatment and model conversion with other currency softwares.
