| The structure design is a behavior which will evolve along with latest technology, culture, environment and so on, thus the computer aided design software should be able to change its form and adapt the variety of the structure design. However, in general all computer aided design software are based on certain business purpose and follow their proper existence period, which directly cause the selling price extremely high and lack of flexibility of adapting the variety. This article, combines above situation with the characteristics of the civil engineering structure design, put forward the idea of establishing the Steel Structure Design Assistance Network Platform to provide designers powerful assistance service and finite element method analysis service on structure design by using technologies like database, Web Service, AutoCAD ObjectARX development, ANSYS APDL programming and so on. Aided by the platform, the designers can use the up-to-date analysis service to carry out fine structure design works, the developers can release their latest service directly to the desktop of the designers to carry inter-discipline design.
