Remote Reading System Based On Single Multi-function Watt-hour Meter

The remote meter reading system is the application in the various environments such as factory,business enterprise,school, hospital,residents'living quarter and so on .This system can also read watt-hour meter,water meter or gas meter and other meters which have remote communication functions and then this system will provide the data management.The emergence of this system changes the model of the meter reading manually, improving the efficiency and accurate rates in essence, lowering the cost and the insurance, and make use of the high calculation ability of the computer to analyze the data systematically.These provide the convenience a lot for production and speed up the modernization of our society. 《Multi-function Watt-hour Meter Communication Protocol DL/T-645》is constituted to unify and standardize the physical connection and protocol during the exchange between the tariff device and the data terminal equipment.The compiling of this standard refer to the international standard IEC concerning the relevant content of local bus data communication and combine the fact of the using of Multi-function watt-hour meter in the eletricity system of our country.The implement of this standard will standardize the communication interface of tariff device and be propitious to the improvement of the quality of measure productions. This standard accelerate the reform of meter reading manually,the realizition of remote information transmission and improve the level of electricity management. While the hardware used in my project measure up the 《Multi-function watt-hour meter communication protocol DL/T-645 》,this paper introduce the protocol firstly including the composing and the characteristic of each part and the applications in my program. Secondly,this paper describe the characteristic of the computer serial interface communication technology,while the meter connect the computer through the serial interface.Finally, this paper show the realization of software detailedly including the expatiation of the emphasis of each main functions. The sum-up of the whole paper and the prospect are the end. The purpose to this paper is to do some work to breaking the former model of the meter reading manually. Firstly, this paper makes use of the remote transmission of the meter and the high ability of computer's calculation to read meter.This characteristic is better than meter reading manually in the aspects, such as work efficiency, safety, accurate rate and cost...etc. The second, making use of computer's calculation,the function of data analyzation supplied in this paper not only let the customer know electric consuming clearly and also give the constructive advice to decrease the cost of customer's using electric. This characteristic is better than meter reading manually in the aspects of speeding and correctness too. the final purposes of above these advantages are all for lowering the customers'cost.
