The high frequency technology of IGBT series resonant inverter is researched in the paper. IGBT is selected for the high frequency and high power inverter based on the analysis and comparision on the developing tendency of power electronic device and induction heating power. The active state of series resonant interver are analyzed through theoretical and simulational analysis and the conclusion that induction quasi-resonant state is the better functional mode is drawn, Based on the analysis of frequency tracing control of inverter the frequency and phase lock control circuit are designed which solve the problem that the power factor is unstable cause by the change of lode paramater. The drive circuit is designed based on analysis the construction and parameter of APTGU180A120. 50kW/100kHz IGBT series resonant inverter is designed,with it the 50kW/100kHz IGBT series resonant induction heating power supply is manufactured and the debugging result of it is provided.
