Research Of The Common University Communication Space Design

21st century is a new era for Chinese high education to innovate and develop. Being the basic policy of our country, education is the source of the society's development. In the new century, higher education with a kind of pluralistic, open, as well as interactive 'humanism'. The new concept, new system, and new technology is challenging the traditional campus design from different degree. As a result, more and more, the traditional campus space can't adapt the requirement of our society.This thesis is based on the research of material environments in colleges, and focuses on the communicational space of modern colleges. The thesis using the theories of the relationship between environment science and human behavior, try to reanimate the interactive relationship between 'communication' and 'space', from the viewpoint of behavior, psychology, and the special trait of universities itself. By this means, the thesis try to conceive s set of extensive, multi-layer, and integrated special communication system, so as to explore the ideal development patter for the future universities design.This thesis advances: in the designing and planning of the college, we should keep to the rudder of humanism, holistic and sustainable development. In the designing we should create an opening, multi-levels and have regionally characteristic communication space . It should be suitable and edifying.The thesis has fundamental research on the construction of campus communication space from basic theories to practice.
