The dike seawall is very easy to be destroyed and lost its stability by the timeless ocean wave, so must to be reinforced for its safety and stability. The single rank of piles is a better project in numerous reinforcement schems, because it can protect the foot of dike seawall to improve dike seawall stability and can help the beach to silt itself to protect the beach. However, the seabed in front of the single row pile is unavoidable to be eroded by the timeless ocean wave, and to be formed a deep foundation. The deep foundation will break the balance of the single row pile gradually by the increase of the depth, even affect the balance of dike seawall. Limit equilibrium method and finite element method are used respectively in this paper for evaluating the general stability of dike seawall and reinforced by single rank of piles. New computation methods of length of pile are proposed in this paper about the two methods, and are the base theories of dasign of dike seawall reinforced by single rank of piles. Firstly, a whole two-dimensional computational model accorded with the actual situation absolutely is established. The UTEXAS2 software, a famous oversea software of stability analysis of slope, is used to evaluate the general stability of dike seawall and reinforced by single rank of piles. A program based on the theory of soil pressure of Lanken and limit equilibrium method is compiled by author to calculate the length of pile. Lastly, a whole three-dimensional computatinal model based on the model of two dimensions is established and simulated the eroded seabed in front of the single row pile. The MSC.Marc software, a famous oversea software in FEM analysis softwares, is used to evaluate the general stability of dike seawall and reinforced by single rank of piles. A method of designing the inserted length of pile and the distance between the dike seawall and pile is discussed by comparing the displacement curves of the top of the pile.
