The thesis is the technical improvement of existing Signal Transmission System of Rotary joint Component in Vehicle. Electrical Slip Ring is replaced by Optic rotary joint as a mode of real-time data transmission, which overcome many disadvantages of the existing transmission systems, such as complex structure, narrow bandwidth, slow speed, weak anti-jamming ability, and so on.There are two segments in this system, the optical transmission system and the implement of communication protocol.Then optical transmission system consists of optical transmitter and optical detector. During the design of optic transmitter, laser diode and modulator was selected and designed. Optic receiver system included photoelectric diode, preamplifier and limit amplifier.This system works according to the asynchronous serial corresponding protocol. The design made use of a slice of CPLD, using the Hardware Describe Language (HDL) realized the protocol. The protocol realized some functions, such as two-way data buffer, shift register, clock circuit and parity check. The structure of circuit is simple and flexible.At last the feasibility of the scheme is demonstrated by experiments. The related problems on amelioration are discussed. This subject cannot only be used in the military field, but to the rotation homework equipment of the industrial field; there are extensive application prospects too.
