It is important that advanced research technique is used by axles manufacturers. The engineers , who design axles ,must study the principle of axles braking system. The failures occurring in axles braking should be analyzed and the key factors which cause these failures should be worked out. The quality of axles need to be improved to enhance the ability of competition of the manufacturers.In this paper, the phenomenon that the vehicle, with CD1058 axles, pulls to one side when the brakes are applied is analyzed, and the improvements of the key factors are also made. The analysis methods and the conclusion in this paper can be used when the similar axles are studyed. When I analyzed the braking system of CD 1058 axles and improved the braking deviation,many achievements has been gained. The main achievements are listed as follows:1. An algorithm that calculates the output force arm of brake cam contour is designed when CD 1058 axles braking system is studyed. And the feature chart of the output force arm is also given out.2. The fray and stress of brake shoes lining are analyzed in this paper. A new algorithm to calculate the efficiency factors of brake shoes is designed and thechart of efficiency factors of brake shoes is given out.3. The equation , calculating the efficiency factor of braking system, is written outThe factors,which effect the efficiency factor, are analyzed and two key factors causing braking deviation are found out.The key factors are brake cam contour and brake shoes lining clearance.4. The methods of improvementing designing,machining and measuring CD1058 brake cam are analyzed. A method of copying turn the involute contour of automobile brake cam shaft and a method of designing the tracer contour of YX-173 A cam milling machine are worked out.5. The principle and method of adjusting axles braking system are studyed. And a work standard for adjusting friction lining clearance, which may be used in producing process, is given out reasonably.
