The Ship-Paint-System is put forwarded to improve the efficiency of ship painting design, it's a part of informationization of ship building enterprise. Recently, the Object-Oriented software engineering theory, and database and network based C/S architecture take a more and more important role in the enterprise computing environment. Under the guideline of Object-Oriented software design theory, the thesis adopts a Oracle DBMS and Java technology based C/S architecture to implement the system.After the analysis of the status quo of painting process and the required function and performance of the objective system, the system select a enterprise computing intensity adapted Oracle DBMS and platform-cross Java technology based C/S architecture.The system mainly composed of two parts, viz. the server end database and client end application. The database end includes the table schema and PL/SQL package design, however, the client end consists of the JDBC-OCI data access and MVC based Swing interface design.In the whole process of the system design and development, the Object-Oriented theory is heavily used. The system uses the UML for software modeling, and JBuilder RAD for coding.After the basic function design and implementation, performance tuning is made both at the database end and the client end.The system can improve the painting design efficiency. It's innovative and very important for the informationization of the ship building enterprise.
