A Design For Research Of Rebuilding And Enlarging The Clinic & Ward Building Of School Of Stomatology In Peking University

Now the construction of buildings in hospitals of China is affected by the three great changes of the market economic system of China, the bio-psycho-social medical model and the new techniques. A large amount of buildings in hospitals are in urgent need of rebuilding and enlarging. When rebuilding and enlarging the buildings of hospitals, architects will face severe difficulties of make hospitals continue to be on business during the construction of hospitals' buildings.The object of design for research of rebuilding and enlarging the clinic & Ward building of school of stomatology in Peking University is to design a building with a reasonable function and a beautiful form and provide an ideal design case for the people whose jobs have relationship with the construction of buildings in hospitals of China. During the design process of this building, I exert myself to find the common problems in the design process of hospitals' buildings and provide the methods of solving them.There are the registration department, the charge department, the pharmacy in the first floor of the outpatient department in the normally hospitals. During the process of making e-hospital, the charge departments of hospitals are being cut down and the medical gold-card will make patients see a doctor more easeful. During the design of outpatient department, I cut down the charge department.Because of the complex function of hospitals' buildings, most hospitals' buildings designed by architects don't have both the reasonable function and beautiful architectural forms. In this design process, I try to found factors that will cause unique architectural forms. After the careful analysis of architectural factors and the detailed comparison of different architectural solutions, I have designed a unique architecture which is like an inverse taper.
