Research On Design Of County General Hospital Clinic Building

Clinic building departments are important parts in hospital. The design of clinic building department will play the key role for the whole hospital and we must research into this field deeply and extensively.With the development of our society and the process of medical and health services, there is a growing emphasis on health and a growing demand for medical facilities and medical environment. Therefore, psychological needs of patients for medical treatment have become increasingly rich. These changes will have a deep impact on the architectural design of clinic building departments. Medical model has changed dramatically which shift from the traditional medical model to bio-psycho-social comprehensive medical model; more and more people actively choose a doctor because the improvement of health care services promotes people’s health care needs. In addition, the rapid development of computer science and informational technology will have varying degrees of impact on the architectural design of clinic building departments as well as the health care system.National policy promotes the development of county general hospital which has special status between urban and rural areas. Therefore, design of county general hospital becomes one of the key projects. On the basis of determining the appropriate size, we should optimize the layout of its medical unit and improve the quality of its public space.In this article, based on functions to streamlines of clinic building departments, we will research its various medical units and analyze the design points.Due to the special nature of the county general hospital functions, clinic building departments are affected by many factors such as economic and technical. Learning the theory of environmental behavior and behavioral architecture, the author will analyze on psychological patterns of demand and behavioral flow patterns in public space of clinic building departments. Furthermore, we will put forward design strategy about outpatient waiting space, hall space and key transport space.The organization of each medical unit through the streets, corridors, courtyards etc. sets the hospital together or designed to be plate-type to form medical functional systems named the clinic building department.
