The thesis is based on the background knowledge of history and culture of the traditional settlement space in Huizhou district. Taking Xidi of Yixian, one of the World Cultural legacy as my tracing object, I tried to find a way out which gave good explanation on how the factors affected the growing up hamlet space. Though the only one village cannot show us the holistic situation of Huizhou district, the study may still be a detailed case for later research.Taken the village space as a whole system, my study carried on an investigation intohiberarchies: village configuration as a whole, the inner structure and order, neighborhood space and the basic living cell. After analyzing respectively, I finally get the main factor of each layer. That is to say, for every layer of village space, there is a main factor which gives the most important influence.
