Abstract/Summary:
More and more civil engineerings come into being with the development of national economy, so the soil for building is less, thus many projects have to be built in the site which didn't fit for building. The site, in which soil is soft and can't meet the demands of density and deformation and is apt to sink, must be reinforced for the need of useness.First of all, the physical and mechanical indexes of marine clay are introduced based on the research results from other people, and the relationships between these indexes have been obtained. the characteristics of shear strength, consoliation deformation and creep of marine soft clay in Lianyungang are also studied. Then the method of Dry Jet Mixing is introduced in this paper, from the history, development, principle, construction technology and the requirement of technology. The characteristics of the method of Dry Jet Mixing are deeply discussed. The reinforcing of soft subsoil are settled by adopting the method of Dry Jet Mixing for bridge platform integrating a finished engineering case in Lianyungang, a seashore city with marine clay. The characteristic value of subgrade bearing capacity of composite foundation and settlement are also demonstrated. The work of this paper gives directions for soft soil foundation especially for marine clay foundation, The method of Dry Jet Mixing are viable for ground treatment of bridge platform in soft soil foundation of seashore cities such as Lianyungang.
