Compared to the other motors, Switched Reluctance Motor (SRM) has properties of simple structure, high reliability, low cost, excellent controllability and etc. Because of these, SRM have developed rapidly in electric vehicles, aircraft system and other automotive applications. This thesis mainly studies SRM control system from three perspectives: modeling and simulation of Switched Reluctance Driver (SRD), the application of Variable-structure controller and the digital control engineering practice based on the Msp430. Based on the nonlinear theory of SRD, the thesis models the motor. Then considering to the torque and efficiency, the effect of control parameters on the whole system is analyzed by simulation and optimization. The thesis has thoroughly discusses the application of the Discrete Sliding Variable-structure System (DSVS) on SRD, and analyzes the design of the switch function and the control law. The sliding-mode controller is simulated to confirm its parameters effects on the dynamic characterizes. The paper has accomplished the hardware and software design of SRD in detail. Experimental results demonstrate that the variable-structure system of SRD has the good static and dynamic characterizes and the correctness of the theoretical study and digital simulation. To reduce the deviation of system and satisfy the reaching condition, the thesis applies the fuzzy control into the DSVS.
