Screw shaft is widely used as driving piece and locating piece, on account of the characteristic of its structure, it can implement both driving and locating, at the same time, it can turn angle displacement into line displacement. Consequently it not only serves as driving piece and locating piece, but also serves as measuring piece, it plays an important role in mechanical industry, and inversely the developing of industry demands of more high precise screw shaft.Travel variation is an important parameter for precision assessing. In china, a kink of laser dynamic instrument which worked on phase-comparison was in widely used since 80s, but it is affiliated to analog measurement, it is low in precision and is inconvenient to operate, now, it is hard to cater to the quick development of society. As for dynamic measurement on screw shaft, there is no efficient instrument hitherto, those some high precision instrument can be bought via import, yet the high price hinder it from widely acceptance. Therefore a new dynamic detecting instrument is in urgent demand. In view of the demands, a new measurement scheme is presented in the paper, accord to the scheme, DFI(double frequency interferometer) serves as length benchmark and round raster serves as angle benchmark, computer undertakes data sampling and processing. All screw shaft error is computed according to the related norm of ISO and china(such as GB/T 17587. 1 -3), the system provide user with graphic operation interface, and it can amend the data in accordance with the environment easily, therefore it can improve the measurement precision, at the same time, the result can be saved in form of file and can be picked up at any moment. The system is validated success by both theory and practice..
