The fastener-style steel pipe system is a region that frequently occurred safety accidents in the process of construction. In recent years, there have been many reports about such accidents that caused substantial economic loss and casualties. In a general way, we divide the fastener-style steel pipe system to two groups, scaffold and formwork-support. We often use scaffold to do fitment of the outward wall during the construction of high buildings. And we use formwork-support to uphold the loads during grouting in a great-headroom building. The deployment of construction, model of calculation and distributing of the loads of the fastener-style steel pipe system are all different in the two cases. Many scholars have studied scaffold for a long time, and they have compiled . But till now, there haven't any criterion of formwork-support yet.The paper commenced at the difference between the formwork-support and scaffold. And adds some items of the computation of the formwork-support. The paper emphasizes the computation of the formwork-support, makes a half-rigidity model to simulate the formwork-support by SAP2000. We can know the whole construction's distortion by it. Some conclusions are made after comparison.In the paper, detailed design was made of the formwork-support of Qizhong Senlin Gymnasium Tennis Center in Shanghai by the model we assumed. Difficult and especial points are summarized of the project by computation. The result provides strong guidance for practicing it.
