Research On Parking Guidance And Information System And Its Implementing Methods

With the development of economy, more and more people have owned motorcar in most urban area. As a result, it is very difficult to find a parking place, especially in commercial district and center of city. That phenomenon appears too much remarkable because of two reasons, one is the contradiction between supplement and demand of parking space, and the other is lake of scientific management. Therefore, building a Parking Guidance and Information System (PGIS) become a important thing of development Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) in many cities.Because the development of the PGIS is in initial stages in China and its theories are not perfect, this paper advanced some feasible methods and assistant measures to build PGIS in the future, according to the existing conditions of ITS.PGIS comprises information collection,information processing,information transmission and information publication. Through the analysis with the system structure and function of PGIS, this paper makes a system design and advances some enforceable methods about four subsystems. Information collection includes the parking lot and the roadside park. This paper discusses two modes' characteristic, function and adaptability about ways of information collection. Information processing, as a core of PGIS, found a solve method on disparity of parking quantity between the publication board and the parking place. Information publication studies information content, and partition of region, grade form, design and position about the publication board. Information transmission dissertates communications scheme with three examples. In order to ensure PGIS to implement smoothly, this thesis gives some suggestions, which concern about the driver behavior, parking administration system, parking law and regulation, capital investment model and financing, and brings forward a valuation method in system evaluation which bases on participators and system objects.Lastly, the paper gives a project to certificate the practicality of methods about the building of PGIS.
