Model validation technology plays a key role in system simulation. Whether the simulation results can veritably reflect the performances of an actual or assumed product depends mainly on the correction of its model. Only if the confidence of a mathematical model and simulation model is guaranteed can the results be of practical significance. Therefore, model verification, validation and accreditation technology, so-called VV&A technology, is an important part in system simulation.The simulation fidelity is the degree of accuracy to which the simulation results recurs to the actual test results of the simulated system. It is usually measured in terms of simulation accuracy. The confidence level represents the degree of the confidence of the simulation results. The fidelity and the confidence reflect the quantitative relations between the simulation system and the simulated system. A simulation system should realistically simulate the whole process of control. However, it's very difficult to do this, because the fidelity and confidence of the simulation results are dependent on the mathematical model and simulation model of the system, simulation method, simulation equipment, and analytical method of the simulation results. The analysis of simulation accuracy and confidence level is an important subject for the simulation world. In this paper, the mathematical model of a certain missile system is studied. Main works done include: systematically studying the validation method and procedure of the mathematical model of the missile system, based on the actual development process of the missile.establishing the database to provide the basis for the validation of the mathematical model, based on the CLIMB project. developing a set of validation tools----software tool kit. It increases the efficiency of the validation, and makes the VV&A a more normal, utility and automatic technology, so the VV&A becomes easier to operate.
