Conventional analysis software of cyclotron is based on special demands. The objects of analysis almost aim at a certain component and a function. It is difficult to simulate cyclotron as a complete machine. In practice, the design usually depends on engineering experiences. In this way uncertain factors will influence the design results. Information technology is introduced into the research of cyclotron. To build a cyclotron virtual design environment, modeling and visualization from design, assembly, adjustment, to machine commission is important. By Virtual Prototyping, we investigate into cyclotron from a point of view of machine work lifecycle. Especially more optimal projects are provided with a lower investment so that unnecessary engineer losses are avoided.This article discusses the characteristics of cyclotron prototyping model. According to the instance of the accelerator, a machine model of virtual cyclotron prototype is set up. By using the software of Pro/ENGINEER, the functions such as making of the project picture and assembly simulation etc are realized, and automatic modeling function of the software is achieved by the secondary development. Centering on the model of cyclotron prototype, we consider all links and factors that the activity of lower reaches such as assembling, manufacturing etc involves on design phase. The model information integration and the method of data input are discussed, and they are applied to other modules of cyclotron Virtual Prototyping system. The results of analysis by models accord with reality situation, and the utilization of models meets the engineering request in simulation.Based on cyclotron design software and dynamic analysis software ADAMS, we investigate beam dynamic visualization to simulate particle-accelerating process in cyclotron. It is involved with a general course of cyclotron design and visually shows the results of analysis. Especially physics process visualization is melt into cyclotron design to find its inherent law. The way enriches the development of cyclotron.
