The thesis study how to use the new technology, vector hydrophone, to Detect, Identify, Alert, Locate and Intercept the attacking torpedo. It also focuses on the new technology's application in intercept the attacking torpedo on the background of martial requirement: "Naval Vessels Defend Attacking Torpedo".Throughout analyzing the obvious difference of radiate noise between the target of torpedo and other objects, the thesis finds out some essential characters for torpedo alert. After analyzing and researching the method of detecting low-frequency, weak signal's discrete spectrum of long-range torpedo and extract its characteristic information generally by using vector hydrophone, it not only gives the detecting method and module of torpedo's discrete spectrum on the basis of vector hydrophone, but also analyses its capability of the ratio of signal and noise. All of these provide the solving approaches for torpedo alert.The thesis deeply researches in the application of target locate by using vector hydrophone and give the arithmetic of beam-forming and DO A. It also provides the method to ameliorate the precision of DO A and torpedo's orientation tracking with the utilization of the beam-forming of vector hydrophone's array. On the basis of this it provides the scheme of torpedo's alert system and elementarily validates its capability of orientation tracking and multi-target distinguishing throughout analyzing the practical data of naval vessels which measured by vector hydrophone' array.The thesis also discusses the probability of intercept the attacking torpedo by utilizing the coalescent of torpedo' locate buoy and rocket depth charge, which found on the trait of vector hydrophone. It emphasizes on the feasibility research of the vector hydrophone's directly applications in the weapons which are used to intercept torpedo. According to the attacking torpedo, the thesis consider it's a effective intercept method that uses vector hydrophone, which assembled insuspension depth charge, to estimates if the torpedo has passed the intercept area of rocket launching and deposited and detonates the suspension bomb betimes. It also emulates the intercept effect to validate it has considerable hard-antipersonnel effects.As a newly technique, vector hydrophone has widely martial applied foreground on technology such as torpedo alert. The domestic research on this aspect is still on underway ground now, especially it is provided firstly that vector hydrophone directly uses in the application of hard- antipersonnel intercept method. The author expect that his work could conduce to promote the deeply research in this technology and its farther engineering applications and generalizing.
