Knowledge are decisive key elements in contemporary manufacturing systems, Market competition of products have transformed to knowledge competition. Design data and knowledge are more and more obvious in restriction of manufacturing industry's development, more outstanding in development and design of products. All kinds of design knowledge are managed effectively by utilizing the advanced knowledge management theory and achievement of. the information technology, and products design knowledge management is ran through the process of products development, So that a well supporting environment is offered to designers, and enable designers to retrieve quickly and use design knowledge, and make full use of the designers' intelligence and wisdom, consequently realize the innovative development of enterprise's products, therefore, Research in this paper has very important meanings to improvement of products competitiveness.This paper is conformed to development of information building of manufacturing industry's enterprises, and under the guidance of the knowledge management theory , a systematic research is carried out that focused on the theory and methodology of products design knowledge management of products development process oriented based on the network technology, artifical intelligence technology, oriented-object technology And database technology, and make great effort of building a basic platform which can realize products design knowledge management.The main content of research is as follows:1. According to analyzing the rough classification of design knowledge of mechanical and electrical products, ontology is introduced firstly and it is put forward and analyzed the model of ontology structure based on the mode and it is researched on the principles and methods of knowledge ontology's construction .After the proper knowledge ontology is constructed, it can be realized the organization of products design knowledge based on netted structure by carrying out the mapping between knowledge units and ontology units, thereby establish different relationship between knowledge units. Based above, it is researched on knowledge search's strategy which is applied to the model of knowledge framework based on ontology, and the relevant arithmetic is designed.2. According to the model of knowledge framework based on netted structure,this paper develops the system framework of knowledge repository, and puts forward that knowledge repository is composed of knowledge ontology database, mapping database, basic data database and system database, then introduces each function . management and construction of corresponding tool, thereinto two important tool (ontology wizard and wizard of mapping between knowledge and ontology)are modeled by object-oriented analysis and design.3. By analyzing the process integration bases on task management, this paper put forward the theory of knowledge management that products design knowledge management is run through products development process, then discusses the total design of products design knowledge management of products development process oriented, furthermore, discusses deeply the use and realization of push-pull technology in intelligent knowledge supply of task process oriented and the means and ways that design-case knowledge is retrieved. Based above, thesystem structure is designed for application platform for knowledge repository of products development process oriented. When the system is developed, it can be cut short or extended freely. 4. According to the research on the relevant theories and key technology, a prototype of system of knowledge repository management has already developed , and it has validated the exactness and feasibility of the theory and ways that the system is realized in this paper.
