Under the shorter and shorter product life cycle circumstances, the critical factor to promote the efficiency for product design and the competitiveness of an enterprise would be the efficient knowledge service. Aimming at providing a real-time, high-efficiency knowledge service for product design process actively; the key technology in the knowledge service was discussed in the research. The main work of the dissertation includes:In chapter 1, the background of the dissertation research was discussed. Firstly the research situations of knowledge service for product design process were reviewed, and the difficult problems were disscussed about the knowledge service for product design process; based on analyzing research situations of relevant research papers, the research contents and threads of the dissertation were elaborated. Finally the framework of the dissertation research contents was proposed.In chapter 2, the product design knowledge acquisition method for unstructured data was researched. Firstly, the product design knowledge would be represented by knowledge instances; secondly, in order to acquisit the knowledge that implied in the unstructured data more easily, the domain ontology should be restricted by some specific rules; then, a knowledge acquisition method for unstructured data was proposed, and the knowledge that implied in the unstructured data of an enterprise would be acquisited by solving the model according to semantic relations implicited in the domain ontology.In chapter 3, a knowledge service system for product design process based on the knowledge organization model represented by directed acyclic graph was researched. In order to avoid comparing and analyzing semantic relations frequently, the knowledge for product design would be represented by knowledge instances; based on the contents and features of the knowledge instance and the semantic relations in the domain ontology, the collections of the knowledge instances which have related features would be composed to knowledge modules, and knowledge modules would be organized as a DAG(directed acyclic graph); then, the knowledge could be fastly, efficiently, completely queried according to the semantical relationships expressed in the DAQ the efficiency of knowledge service for product design process was promated, and the results would be provide to designers orderly by knowledge directory.In chapter 4, an analysis method to get the knowledge needs for product design process was proposed and researched. Firstly, the product design process would be described by three-dimensional information; then, the dynamic information that is being generated in the design activities would be gotten; then, on the basis of the two kinds of information, a features table that could describe the knowledge needed by the design activities would be generated; the knowledge could be semantically,effectively be queried according to the logical relationships expressed in the DAG, and the knowledge matching to the features table would be provided to the designers through knowledge service.In chapter 5, the architecture and technology for the knowledge service system for product design process was researched;and a case was presented to illustrate how to build the knowledge service system for ornament design process; the software modules which were needed in knowledge acquisition,knowledge organizational model and the analysis method to get the knowledge needs had been discussed; In order to make communication and business cooperation easier between the software modules in the knowledge service, software component ontology was used to eliminate the semantic differences of the information for the software modules.In chapter6, the whole research contents of the dissertation were summarized, and the prospects for future research work was proposed.
