This paper introduces the research of a virtual vibration test instrument based on LabVIEW. The cost of this system is deeply decreased by designing the system in virtual instrument mode. The use of notebook PC and USB data acquisition card makes it convenient for carrying and adapt to engineering test spot. As far as the function of software is concerned, it completes most of general functions in vibration test, such as data acquisition, frequency spectrum analysis, and so on. In addition, modal analysis is also added to the system. In vibration analysis instrument, precision is the pivotal part. In order to improve the precision of analysis, we use phase difference correction, a reasonable and efficient spectral correction to correct the frequency spectrum. It is proved by test that attempting to apply phase difference correction in vibration test instrument is successful and significative. The virtual instrument with spectral correction has very high speed, high precision, and friendly interface and can be operated simply. It is a good project that is worth to popularized.
