The optimization system of water supply networks is very complicated. It deals with lots of factors from the process of networks' modeling, node demand calculation, initial flow distribution, and the optimal design to the drawing of pipe networks and isopiestic line. The total effect will be better if amelioration is imposed on each part of these processes. The article includes three parts, which discuss networks' optimal design, networks' drawing process, and plot methods of isopiestic line respectively. In the process of optimal design of water supply networks, we can depend on computers in node demand calculation, initial flow distribution, and finally optimization. In data processing, a method based on automated created identification matrix through data transition is emphasized. Taking into account the pipes' length, a minimum square summation method is introduced in the part of flow allocation. In the networks' drawing process, based on the data we got from optimal design, we can draw the figure through the VBA tool in AutoCAD after the operation of data transition. Finally this paper adopts a novel triangle gridding partition method in plotting isopiestic line. This paper makes full use of the strong computation ability of Visual FORTRAN and the drawing advantages of VBA tool in Auto CAD. It reaches the goal of optimal design of water supply networks-and drawing automatization.
