At the present time, the software is few in the relaying calculation domain, which is a relaying calculation platform of power plant. The only existent software has limited web functions. With the development of Internet, it's imperative to develop the software of web edition.The task of this design is to extend the software of stand-alone edition to web edition. For the continuous development, the security of the whole system and the trend of the development of Internet, the design adopts multi-layer distributed structure. Therefore, this system realizes the thin client which not only simplifies the upgrading and installing of the software on the client, but also improves the running speed of the software.The work of relaying calculation of power plant mostly is done by the staff of relaying squad, so a great deal of calculation is done in the relaying workroom. But the query and browse of the setting books, the parameters of equipments and the calculation books can be done in many departments in power plant, even in the power management department. According to the actual working situation, this system adopts mixed structure of the multi-layer distributed client/server structure and the multi-layer distributed browser/server structure. This structure lightens the burden of web server and avoids stack analyses of the response to the client.This paper introduces the multi-layer distributed structure and does some further researches on COM/DCOIVL MTS/COM+ technology. According to the characteristics of the object developed, this paper brings forward the mixed structure of the multi-layer distributed client/server structure and the multi-layer distributed browser/server structure. In addition, the paper brings forward thedeveloping method of middleware technique, which integrates Delphi's MIDAS and Microsoft COM+ technology for the aspects of the running efficiency and the security of the software.
