New market environment presents severe challenges for the mode of production of the manufacturing enterprises. Based upon the characteristics of water conservancy engineering, enterprises, which manufacture water conservancy machinery, will confront problems such as diversification of products manufactory, cost rising, and weak market impact. Meanwhile, customers always have particular requirements for delivery period and product quality. Hence, it is expected to tackle the existent problems of enterprises and enhance enterprise competitiveness with fundamental principle by the example of Water Conservancy Construction Machinery Plant of Zhe Jiang. To begin with, the dissertation analyzes pragmatic problems, which warrant out urgent attention, of water conservancy market oriented enterprises. After which, through the sumnary of fundamental principles of mass customization, and combined with the characteristics of water conservancy engineering project, a conclusion is reached that the fundamental principles of mass customization are applicable to the development of water conservancy machinery products. Then upon research of water conservancy machinery products designing, essential framework of mass customization is duly proposed, and eventually, thereis a specific case study for applied engineering research by the selected example of typical product titled "mass mobile dan" .Whole dissertation is further divided into 5 chapters whose minute content is classified as follows:Chapter one performs analysis upon the market environment and characteristics of water conservancy engineering to reveal that relevant enterprises will be confronted with serious challenges due to the fact that mass production is not in agreement with present market competition, with the only solution being mass customization while presenting a summary for mass customization both home and abroad, upon the basis of which we come up with the research scenario and all the work to be done.Chapter two conducts a thorough expatiation upon fundamental principles of mass customization with a brief introduction of mass construction and the major characteristics that differentiate conventional mode of production and mass customization, expounding relevant techniques required by mass customization management.Chapter three discusses on order processing for water conservancy machinery products, performing a research on product designing and quality control based upon special features of above mentioned products.Chapter four explores traditional mode of water conservancy machinery manufactory and both the cons and pros, devises the framework for mass customization of water conservancy machinery upon the case study of "mass mobile dam" .Chapter five concludes whole dissertation to present newly established viewpoints while pointing out flaws in this dissertation with preliminary scenarios and planning on how mode of mass customization ean be implemented in water conservancy project.
