Scientific computation visualization, based on computational graphics and image processing technique, translates the numerical results to graphics or images on the screen, and realizes interactive process. It helps researchers and decision-makers to form a clear picture of the problem faced, hasten their understanding and deepen their insight.With VC++ as programming language, a dynamic visualization system of flow field and river bed change process is developed based on Tecplot, an excellent graphic platform. The system has a satisfactory variety of functions, strong adaptability, and is easy to use. Another system is also developed for supervision and decision-making of ship navigation. The system can analyze navigation conditions, select and check navigation route based on data from physical and mathematical models.As an advanced manner of acquiring and managing information, remote sensing(RS) and geography information system(GIS) have a wide application in engineering. In this paper, remote sensing picture is processed by ERDAS, a famous RS&GIS platform, and information on the Chong qing part of the Yangtze River is obtained, which can be compared with the water level data from numerical calculation and evaluate the computation precision of mathematical models.
