| In this dissertation, the Evolutionary Structure Optimization method is studied for both truss structure optimization and continuum structure optimization. An optimization computating scheme is also studied based on the available CAE software, ANSYS as an example.In truss structure optimization, a new method is proposed for the combined optimization of size, shape and topology, which is based on ESO concept. To make it clear, the methods for the size optimization and combined size, shape optimization are also introduced forwardly and respectively, in which the former is based on optimality criteria method and the latter is based on ESO concept. Furthermore, the comparison is made between ESO and mathematical programming.In continuum structure optimization, ESO is applied for topology optimization under the constraints of stress, displacement and frequency. In addition, ESO is applied to the optimization for shells reinforced by ribs.Finally, an optimization computating scheme is studied based on the available CAE software, ANSYS as an example. Three methods are introduced for optimization computation, which might be helpful for further research work. |
