Aiming at the conceptual design phase,basic design phase and detailed design phase in the product design,structural optimization problems can be classified into topology optimization design,shape optimization design and size optimization design.Compared with shape optimization design and size optimization design,topology optimization design has more degrees of freedom,can acquire larger design space as a phase of concept design.However,with the development of science and technology,topology optimization menthods mainly focus on single material cannot satisfy with the higher requirements.As a result,it is widely acknowledged that the research of multimaterials plane continuum structure topology optimization is one of the most complex and challenging task in this field.In this paper,based on the Independent,Continuous,Mapping(Independent Continuous Mapping,ICM)topology optimization method which is proposed by professor Sui Yunkang team of Beijing university of technology.Minimization of structure mass is considered as the optimization objective and target displacement is considered as constraint in the study of single,double and multiple material plane continuum structure topology optimization.Furthermore,the corresponding calculating program is developed using MATLAB software as a platform.The main contents of plane continuum structure topology optimization problems can be summarized as follows:(1)By introducing composite exponential filter function,the traditional MWDC(Minimum Weight with a Displacement Constraint)model with power filter function has been improved.A new topology optimization model for the problems of single material planar continuum structure with independent continuous variables and displacement constraints has been established and solved.At the same time,numerical verifications are analysed.(2)Topology optimization model for the problems of bimaterial planar continuum structure with independent continuous variables and displacement constraints has been established and solved.In addition,the bimaterial elastic modulus interpolation formular was achived.Two different bimaterial structural layouts are discussed respectively,which consist of the sticky structures and the syncretic structures in this study.Furthermore,the influnce of target displacement constraint,zoning,material elastic modulus ratio for bimaterial of plane continuum structure optimization are discussed.(3)Topology optimization model for the problems of multi-materials planar continuum structure with independent continuous variables and displacement constraints has been established and solved.Two different bimaterial structural layouts are discussed respectively,which consist of the sticky structures and the syncretic structures in this study.Furthermore,the influnce of target displacement constraint for multi-materials of plane continuum structure optimization are discussed.(4)An optimal program is developed on the software platform of MATLAB by using M language and implements the planar continuum structure topology optimization interface interaction.
