The crane is one of the important equip of the modern industry, which have got the extensive application in the every trade. The crane which is produced in our country has more established difference in machinery property and action and the efficiency of use than developed country. But the time wasted in the aspects of designing is longer, and efficiency of design is too low. This incapability satisfied meets the market demand. For the sake of the meet the market demand, the time wasted in the aspects of designing lowers, designing the efficiency higher - is an inevitable require that visitations heavy design developing whole crane design, the dam in crane occupies the very important position, It is the foundation of the crane designIn this paper, we summarized developing status of computer aided design and monumental design method made a comparatively systematic study of computer aided design, and approach computer aided design from different angles. We analyzed the design theory of dam of bridge crane and design technology of dam of bridge crane, and revised mathematical model and experience formula which are used in the process of the design of bridge crane dam. With the foundation of object-oriented program method, we adopt the Graphical program tools and program the dam of bridge crane computer aided optimization design software. This software has friendly man-machine interface, can achieve optimal Lift system with the fundamental arguments of bridge crane dam .and can output this optimal designed result to a text document which engineering staff can be referred to.This project we start with traditional crane design theory, combined with practical experience of developer, and summarized optimal model which accord with practice, at last program a bridge crane dam computer aided optical design software . Designing with this software can shorten the design cycle of the new product, lowering the consumptions of the new production and the production cost, advancing the dimensional accuracy. It has the important significance for increasing the economic benefit of the enterprise.
