This paper,The Research to Settlements Form and its Integration of BaYu Ancient Towns,is part of the research.On the Human settlement Research of ancient Town in Bayu carried out by Zhao Wanming.The paper consists of 5 parts as follows:The first part is concerned with the basic principle on form of human settlement in the ancient towns of Bayu.First of all,this part gives an explanation to the basic concepts of settlement.On the basis of which ,put an emphasis on the conception, classification of settlement form types in the ancient towns of Bayu,the analysid of the different factors that bring settlement and the inter-relationships between those factors.and then ,this part also touches a bit the effects on the ancient towns' styles imposed by the structure of settlemen form.The second part is about the machine-processd components of settlement form in the ancient towns of Bayu.Firstly,this part elaborates the basic features of components of settlement form in ancient towns of Bayu, and then, gives an analysis to the static components of settlement. Meanwhile,it describes vividly the dynamic evolution of settlement .Finally, it compares the components of the settlement in the ancient towns of Bayu to those of the internal typical areas ,so as to draw the common peculiarities and basic features of the settlement in the ancient towns of Bayu.The third part is the research about the appearance and special features of settlement form in the ancient towns of Bayu.This section is divided into two parts, its first is the analysis of texture components of ancient towns from the line form space, node space, street area appearance with town edge.Its second proceed the analysis to the ancient town environment landscape, induce first the total structure and form of the landscape and characteristic, then analyze from mountainous country, the department of water, town three aspects each from special features.The forth part is the considers and exploration about integration of settlement form in the ancient towns of Bayu.Firstly, this part analysize present condition of settlement form in the ancient towns of Bayu, and put forward the idea of integration, then integrated possibility proceedinganalysis argument. On the basis of which ,it elaborates the basic way of thinking about integration. Realizing according to the writer finally, putting forward to the idea about integration with different area gradually of settlement form in ancient towns.The fifth part is the typical case research about integrations of ancient towns settlements form.This section is the last part of thesis.In ihis part, Jiefang district in Gongtan and Wujia yard district are analysized as atypical cases, and elaborateing the actual application about integrates theoretical of ancient towns settlements form from the protection of central area ,coordination of transition area and reconstruction of edge area...
