Summarizes the construction of high-speed railway in China. In addition, introduces the key technologies of the car of high-speed train. The key technology includes lower the weight and body material. The structure characteristic of 200km/h high-speed car body is generally analyzed, the thought of lightening design about steel structure of the car body is described.According to the structure characteristic of high-speed car body, analysis and model is set up. The main structure stress of the car body is particularly analyzed. It is analyzed and calculated under vertical load case, lengthwise stretch load case, lengthwise compression load case, air pressure power load case, operating load case. Result shows: the structure distortion harmonize, strength-weakness positions represent local stress focus. Resolve the problem of stress focus don't adopt increasing component dimension, but structure measure by reducing stress focus or locally supplying strength. The improvement suggestion on the design is given after the finite element calculation.The optimum algorithm of famous I-DEAS software was discussed, then, high-speed car body was optimized. (1) Car body stands in quite identical stress level by decreasing the thickness of plates, ameliorating structure and so on in strength affluence position under five cases;(2) Without changing stress distribution, holes are dug in bearing the weight of positions by wiped off material in order to decrease weight. The car body was optimized in structure with this optimum method, with the lightest weight of the car body bearing structure as the object, with the thickness of the main member plate on the car body as the variant, withthe strength, rigidity and technology condition as the restraint. Through the optimization analysis, the lighting design parameters of main plates in the car body bearing structure are obtained. The result shows that the lightening model satisfies the strength and rigidity needed by the highspeed passenger cars.
