The development of science and technology appeals to the improvement of fluid machinery's performance. Traditional design method is not enough to satisfy the need. It is necessary to adopt modern design theories and methods. First of all, designers will have to master its internal fluid characteristic.In this paper, 3-D turbulent flow in the channel nonclogging pump has been simulated, the results have exhibited the main flow phenomenon within a pump, the main points are following.A brief of description of the fluid machinery development, turbulence and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) in the engineering is introduced.2. Description of the methods of the generation of grid and the varieties of the methods. Introducing the concept of the method which generates free surface mesh based on the algebraic way and the specific steps of application to the 3-D grids of the passage of the tubro-machinery.3. By solving Possion equation, the automotive generation of 3-D Body-Fitted Coordinates (BFC) grid system is completed with its density controlled by the distribulation functions P, Q, R.4. A detailed description of the solving mode. Using the two-equation mode and law of the wall to enclose the equations and avoiding the laminar sublayer, accelerating the solution.5. Analyzing the materials, decide on the application of Reynolds time-averaged control equations and k - e two-equation turbulent mode, and using BFC, staggered grid to disperse the N-S control equation with FVM. To eliminate pressure oscillations, variables are stored in a staggered grid system. Solving N-S equation with SIMPLE arithmetic, calculate the internal flow of 3-D incompressible in the channel nonclogging pump.6. Generate the grid of the channel nonclogging pump by the trade software named GAMBIT and then calculate the internal flow of 3-D incompressible in the channel nonclogging pump with the trade software named FLUENT. Using the above method, the problem of 3-D field of velocity and pressure in the pump can be solved. Then get the map of distribution of velocity and pressure field and analyze them.
