With increasing of craft system's performance and complex of machinery in recent period, it is important content and purser of ship technical management that master craft system's state and diagnoses the fault and forecast latent fault in time. It is important developing direction that combines in-line monitoring with fault diagnoses and state analyses.This thesis introduces Ship power diesel in-line monitoring and analysis system which make in-line monitoring alarm system have function of trend analyses and fault diagnose. This is importance for advancing safety of craft system and lever of technical management. System has these characteristic:1. System makes use of data of in-line monitoring system and diagnoses used transient speed. It design in-line fault diagnose system with succinct hardware structure.2. System make use of two kinds of sprung to reasoning, actualize the diagnose model that combine auto diagnose with in turn diagnose.3. System have two database, one is main memory database in front; other is oracle data base management system in back. This not only satisfies the request of in-line monitoring, but also actualizes the management to data.Focusing the diagnose function, Paper actualizes design of main memory database and faults diagnose expert system and background database with Java language which is independent of operating system and is oriented to object. Main research works include:1. Main memory database is development with object-oriented mode for advancing system's respond speed and stability and modularize. System can deal with the sample data in advance for diagnose (this include transient speed analysis uneven power distribution of each cylinder), and accomplish task scheduler with thread of Java. These tasks include gathering data, dealing with data, saving data, diagnosing fault. Using main memory database to support expert system is good for attempt of in-line diagnose.2. Fault diagnose expert system's Knowledge expression form isobject-oriented frame. It first deal with auto-gather data for diagnose, this step is backward reasoning; second confirm these fault reason with engineer answer, this step is forward reasoning.3. Background database save the sample data and expert knowledge for diagnose, also can copy the history and knowledge of expert system based on Oracle 8i database technology.Paper also introduces "locomotive diesel state monitoring and analyses system based on transient speed mode?' which is appliance of power diesel in-line monitoring and analysis systemin railroad locomotive.
