In this paper, the condition monitoring and fault diagnose system of train brake is studied and designed. The condition monitoring and fault diagnose system is used to help drivers find the solution to the fault, when DK-l electric-air brake can't run correctly.At first, Paper put forward two problems to be solved. The first is the condition monitoring and fault diagnose system of DK-1 electric-air brake .The second is diagnosing the closing fault of the train coupling cock. The chapter 2 introduces the DK-1 electric-air brake structure, operational principle and technical specifications.The chapter 3 can be divided into three sections as follows: â‘ Based on the theories of FTA, the thesis build up fourteen fault trees according to the functional modes of brake;â‘¡The thesis studies several projects on diagnosing the closing fault of the train coupling cock;(3)The thesis also discuss the structure of the condition monitoring and fault diagnose system of train brake. The chapter 4 cany on the research to the hardware which based on CAN bus, consisting of pressure acquisition module, instruction acquisition module, data processing module and power module of system. The chapter 5 designs the software of the system. Data acquisition module includes pressure acquisition subprogram, instruction acquisition subprogram and the condition monitoring subprogram of the train brake pipe. Data processing module includes identification program of instruction, fault coding etc.The chapter 6 researches the function of the system through doing test on SS4B electrical locomotive. It comes to the conclusion that data acquisition project is accessible, and it also proves the feasibility of the condition monitoring and faults diagnose system.
