| The quality of construction projects relates to the applicability, the results of investment and the safety of people's lives and properties. It's one of the center missions of supervising engineers to control validly the quality of construction projects.Currently there is a problem that the experts who have both rich experience and theory knowledges are scarce in the project supervisal troops in our country. It can be solved by using expert system to control the quality of construction projects .The expert system can process experiential judgment and analysis and the work of seeking codes.The paper clarifies the missions of management's quality control of building construction in construction period and the principle of expert system. According to the characteristics of the quality control of construction management in our country presently, expert system for management's quality control of building construction in construction period was developed under Windows 9X/ME/Windows 2000 by using Visual Basic 6.0 and Microsoft Access 2002 in this paper. It can diagnose quantity limitation(accident) of building construction in construction period, and commentate the reasons ,measures of prevent and disposal of the quantity limitation(accident) .The user also can seek information about quality control of building construction in construction period(quality standards , quality control point , quality control flow, quality of building material and build machinery , laws and regulations and so on). It can improve the work efficiency and quality by using expert system to assist supervising engineers with quality control. The knowledge base of the system is opening. The user can modify and add information expediently.The man-machine interface of the system is the typical windows man-machine interface so that the user is easy to study how to use the system .The user can operate the system convenience because the operation of the system is accord for the user's custom.
