To select appropriate algorithms is one of the basic issues of microprocessor-based relays.When we select algorithms,we should consider two issues—speed and precision.But the speed is contrary with the precision.In order to acquire higher precision,we will use more hits,which will consume more time and reduce the rate. The algorithms we design should simultaneously meet two points as follows:(1)They should be precise enough to satisfy the requirements of the definite engineering.(2)The time they consume should be as less as possible.Large generator-unit plays an important role in power system.The sudden removal of large generator-unit will cause great disturbance especially when one generator accounts for large proportion of the system capacity.We should give more concern to the relay of large generator-unit.The main contents of this thesis included:(1)On the basis of programming and emulating some algorithms using C program language, the performance of some algorithms has been investigated and several new algorithms have been proposed. (2)On the basis of the operating logic of various relays in generator-transformer unit relay, the modules used in generator-transformer unit relay have been included and the relation between the modules has been researched.The modules have been uncoupled and the software level of generator-transformer unit relay has been established.(3) Some modules have been programmed using C program language...
