The modern battlespace requires that you see the battlefield without being seen. The demand of low observability of weapons and materiels has become increasingly urgent. Signature management allows you to carry out stealthy precision engagement, as well as maintaining full command and control capabilities in the high technology wars of the future. A acoustic stealth technology, which is extensively used, is an important signature management in military aircraft, tank, submarine, warship and vehicle. Diesel generator-sets are indispensable materiels of mobile communication in fielded vehicle. The generator-sets generate three significant signatures: visual, heat and noise. These signatures make them easy for sophisticated defensive systems to detect, track and attack. Meanwhile, vibration which the gen-sets cause will easily result in uncomfort of passengers and abnormity work of communication materiels in carrige, and violence noise directively interferes voice communication. Hence the acoustic signature management is one of the most important tasks in this design.The acoustic signature of the vehicle is mainly determined by the gen-sets noise, the dynamic characteristics of carrige structure and sound field in the cabin and the coupling effect between them. Firstly, The gen-sets' acoustic signatures are measured and analysed by experiments in this paper, for practical the carrige and the gen-sets of fielded communication vehicle. Secondly the dynamic characteristics of the carrige structure-field coupling, is are achieved and simulated by the way of finite element analysis(FEA). Then, based on the results of the above measurement and analysis, we design the unique cabin by aborbing, shielding, muffling and vibration isolation.The cabin is designed to low-abservable stealth technology, includes acoustical enclosure, perforated panel with porous absorbing material, inlet windows with absorber, share muffler, fans silencer and shock isolator.The paper seeks new ways of acoustic stealth technology of the cabin, solving the practical problems, making progress in military application. Meantime, the paper uses sound intensity analysis for source identification successfully and FEA analysis for numerical simulation. It is valuable in engineering technology and in academic reseach.
