The paper introduced the method to calculate the working process in the cylinder of internal combustion engine and described the method of Characteristics lines that was used to calculate the air dynamics. Based on the original program, a program to simulate the working process of internal combustion engines was developed, and steady simulation was completed when the 4102BG diesel ran under normal cycle. The results was obtained and compared with the experimental data, so the program was proved to be feasible. Then the program was modified to simulate the steady working process when the diesel ran in closed circle. The parameters of these two status were compared and a conclusion was drawn that the different recycle mediums of engine played an important role in the working process of closed circle diesel engine.The dynamic simulation of closed circle diesel was completed in the SIMULINK. The results from dynamic simulation and the steady simulation program were united to calculate the change rule of thermodynamic parameters when diesel ran in dynamic mode.
