The industry of maintenance, reinforcement and reconstruction for the existing building structure is one of the most popular industries in the nine major industries of twenty-first century. Following the requirement of the maintenance and reconstruction for the existing building and the development of modern technology, the reliability estimation and the strengthening and reconstrucruring technology for the existing building structure gradually comes into being as a new science and develops rapidly. On the basis of the development of the reinforcing in this decade and referring to many engineering applications, the dissertation gives systematic analysis and rather deeply theoretical discussion on the reliability estimation and reinforcing technology of the existing building structure. The main content of the dissertation is as follows:1. Outline the development of the building industry and the reinforcing and reconstructuring at home and abroad; define purpose and approaches of the reliability estimation and reinforcement of the existing building structure. Introduce the necessity and significance of doing research on reliability estimation and reinforcement of the existing building structure when our building structure enter the third development period whose main projects are reconstruction, maintenance and reinforcement.2. Briefly introduce the basic knowledge on theories of construction reliability; state the development and study on estimation for the reliability of building structure in detail; introduce the different reliability between the existing building structure and the non-existing building structure; draw the curve for relationship between construction probability of failure and time; study on the subject of resistance and load of the existing building structure; set up the corresponding relationship between probability of failure of the existing building structure.3. Comprehensively analyze reasons for the existing building structure reinforcement and its press force characteristics after reinforced; take concrete reinforcement for example and study on subjects of co-adoption of new and old construction materials in the process of reinforcing construction; makebasic hypothesis on calculation and analysis approaches of bearing section of reinforcing construction; generally introduce the enlarging section reinforcement approach, the prestress reinforcement approach and so on..4. Take section steel-concrete composite reinforcement beam for example, and generalize advantages of the section steel concrete combination reinforcement approach; put forward the concept of the " environment protection " reinforcement approach and the concept of section steel-concrete composite reinforcement beam for the first time. Systematically study on section-concrete composite reinforced beam, and give practical calculating methods on the calculation of its bearing section design, cutting strength and cutting connective; finally explain the practicability of the approach through engineering applications.5. Briefly introduce the theory of finite element analysis. Prove the reliability of the section steel-concrete combination reinforcement beam by the use of the software for the non-linear finite element analysis Super SAP and Geotl which offers the comparisons between calculation analysis of engineering applications and results from engineering experiments.The reliability estimation for existing building structure and its reinforcing technology is a studying field which is a more synthesis subject and correlates with many subjects. The researches are extremely difficult, but those applied prospect in market are vast. And the path of industrial conversion is enforceable. This project in this dissertation is researched and studied initially, some research work are taken for the first time.
