Consolidated Compound F100r (CCF ) is popular in late years as new decorative material used on the indoor-ground. However, the waterproof function and anti-fungus capability of CCF is relatively so poor that the quantity of first-grade and excellent-quality products is very few. In addition, the external antifriction layer of CCF is expensive and faulty, and 80% of manufactories in China depend on the import antifriction paper. Aimed at thesituation, this paper put forward a simple and effective way-Rabbet SurfaceSealing Technique ( RSST ) to improve the waterproof function and anti-fungus capability of CCF. Meantime, in order to replace the import antifriction layer, this paper develops a new low-costing antifriction layer with decorative function and high antifriction capability.By studying the internal relation of between structure, properties and the waterproof function and anti-fungus capability of CCF, and analyzing the mechanism of vapor-absorption, water-absorption and mildewing, this paper find out the reasons resulted in the poor waterproof function and anti-fungus capability of CCF. According to the feature that deformation resulted from water absorption and mildew appear mainly on the rabbet surface of CCF, this paper adopts RSST to spray a special waterproof sealant on rabbet surface of CCF, so that the sealant can get into fiberboard to certain extent by means of capillarity and penetration, blockage the holes between fibers and capillary, cut up passage of water and change the properties of soakage and sorption to water in capillarity and fiber. At the same time, solidified sealant can form a compact waterproof pellicle on rabbet surface so as to prevent water and humidity from fiber's expansion and mildewing.The structure of import antifriction paper is discussed by means of SEM and other techniques. In the preparation of new antifriction layer, all component of antifriction layer are made into liquid antifriction adhesive that is sprayed evenly and quantitatively on the surface of decorative layer. By a series of processes, we can gain a new high antifriction layer with decorative function and high antifriction capability. The key to the technique lies in minuteness and coupling agent modification of antifriction material, so as to improve theinterface between resins and inorganic antifriction materials and increase the antifriction capability of CCF.Other perdurabilities of new CCF are discussed in this paper. The results indicate that new CCF possesses fine anti-scorch, anti-impact and anti-contaminant functions. Moreover, the quantity of free formaldehyde decreased in new CCF.The industrial application of RSST and the preparation of new high antifriction layer are simple. Adding two ordinary procedures in traditional product-line, the quality of products can be greatly improved and the costing of production decreased. Thus, this technique is hopeful to be applied widely in the future.
