Management Information System (MIS) is a safety management department oriented safety information management system in construction industry. And it is a process integration of all operations to the information and is necessary to the management, and it combines all the means together to make the information management work become a organic and systemic procedure.Geographic Information System (GIS) is a branch of information technology, which integrates computer science, topography, remote sensing and mathematics to collect, measure, analyze, store, manage and display all the data related to geographic spatial distribution. The managing object is the building site distributing everywhere. Because of intrinsic geographic distributing feature of the Distribution System, GIS is much suitable for management of construction industry. When combined together, the feature of data-visualization of GIS offers MIS system the excellence of explicit display, convenient operation and efficient management, which greatly increase social benefit and economic benefit.This thesis discusses the agency of MIS based on C/S mode and the analyses and design and realization of the system. The system includes data acquisition, information arrange, information querying and statistic, accident forecast and browsing interface. Based on GIS which is based on the platform of Maplnfo Corporation. And is developed by using MapBasic language. Using FoxPro develops the database. The system analyzes the requirement of information for the manage department in detail. The system's database is well designed to ensure system's flexibility and extensibility, which helps to realize classified storage of information; management of information includes geographic query and synthetically query, and step-up query function which extends the basic query function, certainly, includes statistic and print. This system is also built a mathematical model by using multivariate linear regression equation, presented a solution of accident pre estimating This is a advanced applications of MIS in safety management.
