In keeping with the development of nuclear power technology, efficiently and safely using nuclear power has become a reflection of nuclear and electric power technology standard of a country. Meanwhile electric power system is developing towards the direction of higher voltage, longer distance and larger capacity. Higher reliability is needed. More and more people pay more aftention to the quantitative analysis and the improvement of reliability of electric power system. In this thesis, we place stress upon the optimal design and reliability analysis of power system of HTR1O, which is the first high temperature reactor power plant of China and financed by Nation 863 Project. Through the optimal design of main wiring and reliability analysis of main wiring and AC security power supply system, it not only indicate that the reliability of the power system of the plant has meet the requirement of IAEA, but also point out the weakness of this system, which will be adverse to the development of HTR power plant.
