Therefore, the public demand for housing has shifted to higher levels, began to have more expectations on the living environment.This article is mainly to study cold city residential landscape design problems. Due to the cold weather, cold city landscape design has its unique functional requirements meet people’s psychological and emotional needs, such as active site as far as possible to design in the sheltered sunny; public space should be seasonal characteristics to meet the four seasons can be full of vitality; plant configuration should be in summer shade ventilation winter sunny wind as the primary principle; square, road pavement selection of antiskid antifreeze materials. Landscape function and aesthetics are fully integrated, will be the main direction of development of the cold city landscape designThrough the research and analysis of this paper, we get some useful theory and design methods, which cause more and more designers to think deeply, to be convenient and to the public.
