In recent years, the complex networks have been used as an effective method to describe the complex system model and it has been applied in several areas. Existing studies have shown that in the public transport system, the road networks, bus networks,railway networks, railway networks and the aviation networks all have the characteristic of complex networks. Therefore, using the complex networks to modeling the public transportation system is the current research focus.The previous research mainly focused on the empirical research on public transport network and evaluated the rationality of the public transport system based on the properties of the public transport network. However, the geographical information elements as an important factor of residents’ travel, always be ignored in the network model. In fact, the public transport network with a reasonable structure should provide better service for the geographic information elements such as community residents and public facilities. The evaluation index of the public transport network ignoring the geographical information elements is not comprehensive. Therefore, this paper will integrate the geographic information elements into the network model, to evaluate and optimize the public transport network.The main work of this paper can be summarized as follows:(1) In order to implement the modeling of geographic information elements and public transport network, this paper proposed a composited network model to describe bus network and geographic information elements based on the multi-subnet composited network theory.(2) In terms of the evaluation of the public transport, combined with the geographic information elements and the distribution of the bus stops, this paper proposed the evaluation index of taking bus convenience and transfer convenience based on the stop service area.(3) This paper regards the residential area as the representative of the geographic information elements, constructed the transport- residential area composited network of Qingdao and analyzed the topological properties of the network. Then, this paper calculated the taking bus convenience index and transfer convenience index of Qingdao and put the administrative region as the analysis object, calculated the taking bus convenience index and transfer convenience index in the four regions, discovered thatshibei is more convenient than the other three areas.(4) In order to reduce to the bus stops between community hospital and residential area, this paper regard the residential area and community hospitals as geographic information elements and built the transport, residential area and community hospital composited network. Then, analyzed and the convenience between residential area and community hospital and discovered the inconvenience residential area and proposed the optimization method of the bus routes.(5) In order to analyze the reliability of the public transport network concerning the geographic information concerning elements, this paper regards the residential area as the representative of the geographic information elements and analyzed the reliability of the transport- residential area composited network. Then, this paper proposed the way of attack the network and the evaluation index of the reliability of the transport- residential area composited network model. Finally, this paper used the data of Qingdao to conduct practical application and compared the result with the reliability of the public transport;found that the reliability of the transport- residential area composited network is better than the reliability of the public transport.
