In solar High Concentrating Photovoltaic (HCPV) system, the precision of soalr position deviation detector is most important facts that will influence the efficiency of electricity generating. Therefore the development of high-precision soalr position deviation detector is of great significance to improve the power generation efficiency of HCPV system. In this thesis, a new solar position deviation detector is designed for the current problems of the photoresistor solar position deviation detector, such as the low detection accuracy, unable continuous detection and the low reliability.The thesis’main research contents are as follows:1. This thesis analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of photoresistor detector and image sensor detector, and puts forward a design scheme of detector according on design requirements.2. The appropriate processor, image sensor and the data output port are selected according to the design requirements and indicators of the detector. The detector hardware platform design is completed.3. This thesis compares many algorithms of graying, binary, edge detection and centriod circle extraction, and selects the appropriate image processing algorithms and designs the detector. This thesis also designs the real-time acquisition procedures, image display procedures and serial port settings procedures and finally completes the software platform design of the detector.4. This thesis builts the experimental platform of the detector, debugges the detector, and completes multiple testing experiments.The analysis of experimental datas has demonstrated that the detection accuracy of the detector is 0.05°, but the detection accuracy of the photoresistor detector is 0.1°, this has showed that the detection accuracy of the detector is higher than photoresistor detector. The detector can continuously detect position deviation of the soalr, but the photoresistor detector can not. In addition, the detector has the advantage that stray light will not affect the detector.In summary, new solar position deviation detector is better than solar photoresistor position deviation detector in reliability, precicion, continuous detection. The detector can provide accurate and real-time deviation angles for HCPV system, to improve power generation efficiency of HCPV system.
