This paper introduces the research background and development trend of 12.7mm large caliber machine gun, takes 89 12.7mm large caliber machine gun system as the research object, and summarizes the automatic principle and technical features of the machine gun system. Machine gun system dynamics model was established for simulation analysis to research dynamic characteristic of machine gun system and reducing recoil efficiency.Based on automatic weapon gas dynamics and classical interior ballistics theory, the related hypotheses was put forward and the mathematical model was established. The numerical solutions of the established equations were calculated by Matlab software, then the propellant gas pressure of interior ballistic period and after-effect period, and the gas chamber pressure change regulation were obtained.The rigid flexible coupling model of machine gun system was established by Adams, and the rigid flexible coupling dynamic simulation analysis of machine gun system was carried on. The motion characteristics of automatic mechanism and the jump situation of muzzle during firing process were discussed, also the recoil force and recoil displacement of the machine gun were detected, which provided comparison for the study of machine gun jet gas reducing recoil.By understanding the internal energy reducing machine gun recoil technology, the jet gas recoilless machine gun was introduced. Different types of nozzle structure was present in this paper, the mathematical model of the new structure was established, and the bore pressure curves of interior ballistic period and after-effect period and the gas chamber pressure curves under different structures were calculated. The structure type which both satisfied the projectile muzzle velocity limit requirements and also largest reduced recoil impulse was selected for the rigid flexible coupling dynamic simulation analysis. The motion characteristics of automatic mechanism and muzzle jump situation were detected, at the same time the recoil force and recoil displacement of the machine gun were also detected, confirmed that the jet gas recoilless gun system can not only improve the firing precision, but also can effectively reduce machine gun recoil force. This paper provided an effective measure on reducing the recoil force of machine gun during firing process. |
